I agree with the Obsessive relationship theory. This is about a guy who understands what a girl, of such rare beauty, has to go through in life. The obsession of her comes from his understanding of her and his desire for her, but the question becomes: can he overcome all the distractions of other men promising her the "good life". The "lies to come" are from other men or the dogs sniffing around her. "would you even care"- does she care that these are only lies or is she open to the promise of what the lies can offer.
